Welcome to Wix Ideas — your go-to source for expert Wix and Wix Studio tutorials, templates, and web design inspiration! If you’ve ever wondered how to make your Wix Studio website more engaging and visually dynamic, today’s post is for you.
In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to add a scroll-triggered shape animation to an image section of your website using Wix Studio. This interactive effect is an eye-catching way to draw user attention to a specific section or highlight a product, testimonial, or offer. Whether you're a designer, business owner, or just getting started, Wix Ideas is here to make your design process smoother and more creative.
💡 What Is Scroll Shape Animation in Wix Studio?
Scroll shape animation is a visual effect where an image is revealed through a shape (like a circle, diamond, or square) as the user scrolls down your page. It’s a powerful way to break up static layouts and guide your visitor’s focus—without writing a single line of code.
And yes, it’s all done inside Wix Studio — a powerful, flexible platform that gives you full design freedom.

🛠️ Step-by-Step: How to Add Scroll Shape Animation in Wix Studio
1. Choose Where You Want the Animation
On your Wix Studio canvas, pick the section where you want the animation. This could be right after your hero section — a prime spot for impact.
2. Add and Structure Cells
Inside your chosen section:
Increase the height of the cell.
Use the Quick Action Bar to split the cell into two.
Adjust the size of each cell to fit your layout.
3. Insert Your Image
From the Add Elements panel, drag in an image and stretch it to fill the cell. Use the Change Image button to upload or select your image. For best results, choose high-quality visuals that align with your branding.
4. Curve the Corners
With the image selected, go to the Inspector, scroll to Corners, and apply a 30-pixel radius. This softens the image for a more modern, polished look.
5. Add the Scroll Animation
Still in the Inspector, go to Animations & Effects and choose:
Trigger: Scroll
Animation Type: Shape
Shape Style: Circle, Diamond, Square, or Oval (we love Circle for its clean reveal)
Intensity: Set between 0.6 – 0.8 for a bold entrance
Animation Area: Defines how far a user scrolls before the animation completes. We recommend starting at 100%.
That’s it! Now when you preview or publish your site, you’ll see the image reveal itself through the chosen shape as your visitor scrolls.
🧠 Why Use Scroll Animations?
In a world full of static web pages, motion design grabs attention, tells a story, and increases engagement. With just a few clicks in Wix Studio, you can transform your website from average to unforgettable.
Whether you’re showcasing a product, portfolio, or service — scroll-triggered animations keep users curious and scrolling.

Love the tutorial!!!
You are truly great at creating these instructional videos!! Thank you! I am having trouble figuring out . . 'the triggered email' . . it is not being sent to the user submitting the form, the form and the email to the admin works great. . Could you point me to where this might have already been addressed? or any other help? On a second note. .the submit button success/failure message will go back to the default message once it's connected to the data set(I couldn't figure that out either. )

Great Tutorial
Hi !
First of all, I want to thank you for your great tutorials, they helped us a lot with the coding.
But I still need your help, if you don't mind. I have based on Save Calculated Field using Wix Data Hooks Codes, to code my form . but the problem is I don't know why the code only reads the computation for "week2" computation and not the "weeks"
here is the code
I also did a separate column in the dataset where the chosen datas for both fields will be placed.
$w.onReady (() => {
$w("#Person").onChange(() => {
$w("#weeks").onChange(() => {
$w("#week2").onChange(() => {
let person = Number($w("#Person").value);
let weeks = Number($w("#weeks").value);
let week2 = Number($w("#week2").value);
$w("#totalLabel").show();
$w("#totalLabel").text = `"${String(weeks * Number(person))}페소"`; //DESIGN YOUR MESSAGE
$w("#totalLabel").text = `"${String(week2 * Number(person))}페소"`; //DESIGN YOUR MESSAGE
});
});
});
});

Hi there, thanks for your comment. I see why this is a problem. The onChange() function seems wrong in combination.
To combine onChangeFunctions use this method
$w("#Person, #weeks, #weeks2").onChange(() => {
//code here
});
